Where is the Love?
I strongly disagree with the use of ironfist in disciplining children. The things that one parent would want to establish such as respect and discipline will not be enforced any better but will be degraded in some way. I believe so because a child will not understand eventually the purpose of hitting him or her. Any person who is it hit or bruised by another will not deliver respect to the later, simply because a person naturally knows that hitting is nowhere near the exercise of love we were introduced to. Another point that I strongly believe in that instead of respect and discipline (or whatever it is that parent wants to enforce) fear would be instilled in the child. This fear will lead to more unwanted things, like dishonesty, rebellion, lack of respect and unruly discipline. We do not want that right? Therefore ironfist shall be abolished as a medium of parenting. As parents, a couple must serve as a good example to their children and I do not think that hitting or punishing your children physically would do that job. Being a parent is not just a job, it’s a sacrifice one has to take and one has to exercise with love.
